It's almost time to start planning your Teacher Appreciation gifts and project ideas. A hugely popular way to celebrate Teachers is to make them a door poster, decoration or banner. This design is one I made a few years back. The teacher loves it so much it STILL hangs in her classroom. It takes a little work but the result is fabulous. Make your teacher the toast of the town with this awesome design using my free printables and following the instructions on my blog here: FREE TEACHER APPRECIATION DOOR PRINTABLES.
Ordering paper goods sight unseen can be a huge leap of faith for party planners. Not being able to see and feel the samples or get to meet the designer can make one think twice before pulling the trigger on an invitation order.
Budgetary considerations and rigid timelines that come along with planning a party especially when it is one's own shower, fiesta or simple get-together can be an important time that everyone wants to go smoothly. The last thing anyone wants to have happen is to spend hours researching the perfect invitations only to have the delivered product be sub-par quality, not what was expected, the colors to be wrong or for the order to be short with only days to be addressed and mailed. That would be a nightmare scenario.
Luckily, I had similar questions about the quality of the invitations I designed using Zazzle's online service so, I ordered three styles. What I found was that I received the order within the time frame promised. Great news for anyone with a timeline to adhere to! Next, the quality of the "recycled" paper option was texturally pleasing and had a nice eggshell quality that is accommodating to many inks. Plus, there were one extra invitation & one extra envelope each in the order to account for handwritten mistakes. Best of all, I was very surprised to find the print colors to be nearly identical to what is represented online. I was in awe of the technology allowing this to be possible. What a relief for me as the designer of this custom stationery to know the product my customers will receive is excellent!
Unfortunately for me, I do not get to meet and speak to people who have shopped my designs on-line. I miss out on assisting with details of a design unless someone requests one directly from me. But luckily, I contract with an outstanding print company whom I can trust to deliver exactly the quality & customer service party planners deserve.
When planning a children's party there are many things to consider. What seems an easy get-together can quickly turn into a fiasco if the proper considerations are not met ahead of time. Things like guests, food, entertainment and presents are all things that will determine where you are able to hold such an event. Many people opt for "canned" party packages at fun centers and pizza joints. But what about a more homey event at home? Do you have enough area, places for people to sit and for kids to run around? Parks can be nice but require a little planning and sometimes a deposit for a ramada. If such a covered gathering place outdoors has electrical outlets, things get exponentially easier!
I am a fan of all birthdays but, prefer intimate gatherings with lots of family and a few friends. Sometimes parents and grandparents can put too much emphasis on the party and presents and forget the real reason behind the get-together in the first place: celebrating a successful year of fun-filled life with a special kid. Birthdays need three basic elements: invitations, a cake and somewhere to be held. Secondary considerations are food, games and entertainment. Make sure you give yourself a few weeks to put your plan into action and don't forget to take lots of pictures! A great resource for party planning is my local friends Maria Ogara and Athena Delgado. They are a mother/daughter team who own Sweet Callings Creations. They do piñatas, decorations, centerpieces and portraits. A fantastic resource for those in a party mood.
